Delete your Pure Homes Nigeria account

This page explains how users of the Pure Homes Nigeria mobile app and website (developed and operated by Pure Homes Nigeria Ltd) can request deletion of their account and associated personal data. You do not need to call or visit our office to start a request — follow the steps below.
How to request account deletion
- Email us from your registered address. Send a deletion request to privacy@purehomes.ng with the subject line Account deletion request.
- Include the information we need to find your account:
- Full name on the account
- Phone number used to sign up or book
- Email address linked to the account (if any)
- Whether you use the iOS app, Android app, or website only
- Confirm you want permanent deletion. State clearly that you wish to delete your Pure Homes Nigeria account and associated personal data. If you have upcoming bookings, tell us whether you want those cancelled as part of the request.
- Verify your identity. We may reply to confirm ownership of the account (for example by verifying your phone number or a one-time code). This protects your data from unauthorised deletion requests.
- Receive confirmation. Once approved, we delete eligible data within 30 days and email you when the process is complete. Some records listed below may be retained longer where the law requires it.

What we delete
When your deletion request is approved, we delete or anonymise account-linked personal data, including:
- Your Pure Homes Nigeria app account and login credentials
- Profile information: name, email, phone number, and saved addresses
- Booking preferences, saved notes, and in-app communication history tied to your account
- Marketing preferences and optional account settings
- Device tokens used to send push notifications to your phone
- Payment tokens or saved payment methods stored in our systems (card data is held by Paystack, not on our servers)
What we may keep (and why)
We delete account data by default, but certain information may be retained where required for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, insurance, or dispute resolution purposes:
- Completed booking and payment records — retained up to 6 years for tax, accounting, and chargeback purposes. Personal identifiers in these records are minimised where possible after account deletion.
- Complaints, damage claims, and insurance files — retained up to 7 years from resolution, or longer if a claim remains open.
- Security and fraud-prevention logs — typically 12 to 24 months, to protect our platform and other users.
- Records we must keep by law — for example where required by regulators, courts, or the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
- Anonymised or aggregated analytics — may be kept indefinitely because it can no longer identify you.
Retention after deletion
Most account data is removed within 30 days of a verified request. Backups containing your data are purged on a rolling schedule, usually within 90 days of deletion from active systems. Legally required records follow the retention periods above and are not used for marketing or routine account operations after your account is closed.
Deleting the app vs deleting your account
Uninstalling the Pure Homes Nigeria app from your phone does not delete your account or personal data. You must submit a deletion request using the steps on this page.
